Investigation of the effect of hawthorn after thermal processing on functional dyspepsia based on fecal metabolomics and gut microbiota

Hawthorn is an important medicine food homology (MFH) species. Charred hawthorn (CH) derived from the thermal processing of raw (RH). Traditional Chinese theory suggests that CH has a stronger effect to promote digestion than RH. In this study, based on functional dyspepsia (FD) model in rats, effects RH and gastrointestinal motility were investigated, mechanism action was revealed perspectives gut microbiota metabolomics. FD established by various stimulation chronic induction methods for 21 days. After 7 days intervention, could improve gastric emptying rate intestinal propulsion rate; correct abnormal levels 20 different metabolites feces; regulate metabolic pathways vitamin A niacin; increase diversity richness adjust structure composition rats. And better The results study show can modulate rats with FD, provide theoretical basis development dietary therapy as treatment plan or adjuvant FD.
